Cardiff City Foundation Charity Bike Ride

Men of Harlech Charity Bike Challenge

On Tuesday 16th July, 2019, a team assembled by Cardiff City Foundation and Ricoh UK undertook a three day bike challenge which commenced at Porthmadog, North Wales and finished at the Cardiff City Stadium covering over 200 miles.

The team led by Jason Trinder (Ricoh Wales) and Scott Young (Cardiff Ciity FC) were sponsored by Zenith Print Group to help raise much needed funds for raising numeracy levels across Wales. With donations still coming in, the challenge was a worthwhile experience and with friends and family surrounding them at the finishing line, it was a moment to be proud of.

Huw Day, Marketing and Sales Co-ordinator of Cardiff City Foundation says, “Cardiff City FC Community Foundation support children, young people and families to achieve their full potential, regardless of education or health inequalities. Over the past 3 days, 18 riders have cycled over 200 miles from North to South Wales to help Cardiff City FC Community Foundation support children with disabilities access sport and also to improve children’s reading and writing skills. On behalf of the Foundation, I’d like to thank all riders and Zenith Print Group for your support as our club continues to change lives.”

Jason Trinder says “It was a fantastic experience to take part in the Men of Harlech Bike Challenge and raise vital funds for the Cardiff City Foundation. It was certainly an experience I will never forget.

On behalf of myself, RICOH UK and The Cardiff City Foundation, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Zenith Print Group for acting as a sponsor for this event, (MEN OF HARLECH BIKE CHALLENGE). With your support, we were able to raise funds for the foundations efforts, support young learners, families, inspire education, improve health & wellbeing and build safer communities.

Your generosity will help the foundation move forward with its upcoming projects, and we would like to express our sincerest thanks for your sponsorship.

Thank you so much to Huw Evans & The Zenith Print Group and may you continue such acts of goodwill.”

As a proud sponsor for the event, our working relationship between ourselves, Ricoh and Cardiff City has continued to blossom and with the new season on the horizon, we look forward to working and building with both organisations.

Our Zenith Media Deputy Sales Director Huw Evans (pictured above left with Jason Trinder, Ricoh UK) was also present at the finishing line, he says; “We are delighted to support such a great charity and help put funds back into the community. We enjoy a great relationship with Ricoh and Cardiff City FC and look forward to working with you both in the forthcoming new season.”
