World Money Fair 2024

At this year's World Money Fair in Berlin, we displayed our range of sustainable packaging products for the coin and medal markets, which included our new rigid box range. Since attending last year's fair, we have made considerable progress in reducing the environmental impact of our products and as a company.

In addition, we are now looking further into the carbon footprint of the papers we print upon. This information is then passed on to our customers so they are able to make an informed decision when selecting the materials for their products.

Furthermore, we have collaborated with several clients to help them redesign packaging to minimise material usage, and reduce or eliminate plastics from their packaging.

As part of our sustainability objectives, we launched our sunflower initiative. The idea is to promote the growing of plants and building of natural habitats for wildlife to grow and thrive.

The sunflower was chosen for this initiative as:-

  • They attract bees and other pollinators, which are essential for food production and biodiversity.
  • They produce seeds that can be eaten by humans and animals or used to make oil and biodiesel.
  • They brighten up any space with their cheerful yellow petals and large faces.

To aid the handing out of the sunflower seeds, we created a cardboard container in the shape of a 50p piece. The inside of which included a message asking our participants to post a picture and tag us at #zunflower.

The event was a great success, and it was a pleasure as always to meet our customers from around the world. We cannot wait to return next year.
